One of the main reasons, if not the main reason, the golf industry has slumped throughout recent years is the number of rounds played nationally. They've decreased. This has been a concern of many golf industry associations that are making efforts to increase the number of golfers along with boosting the number of rounds played. For the most part, the decline has stopped, but the boost isn't happening. Rounds are increasing, but only incrementally. The following are charts tracking rounds played in various segments since the begining of the year. The numbers are provided by the National Golf Foundation.
