SAN DIEGO -- Georgia-Pacific Resins Inc. introduced Nitamin, a new nitrogen fertilizer technology, at the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, Feb. 9-14, San Diego.
The patented fertilizers are designed to provide a steady supply of nitrogen to the soil, ensuring that a sufficient supply of nitrogen is continually available so that turf has the nitrogen it needs throughout the growing season.
The formulations are slowly digested by bacteria in soil to release a consistent dow of nitrogen to produce healthy, green grass with a consistent growth rate.
The product can be used on golf courses in three formulations:
1) Liquid Urea-based for topdressing, green construction and maintenance and fairways and roughs.
2) Coated sand for topdressing, green construction and renovation and divot repair
3) Granular for fairways and roughs.
Other Nitamin features include:
· Turf grow-in is fast and dense with Nitamin
· Enables a consistent turf growth rate
· Low risk of turf burn
· Binds to the soil and stays in place
· Requires fewer applications than quick-release fertilizer
