New Leaf vice president named to Florida Golf Course Owners Association board

Joey Garon, vice president of New Leaf, the amenity management division of Bonita Bay Group, has been elected to the board of directors.

Joey Garon, vice president of New Leaf, the amenity management division of Bonita Bay Group, has been elected to the board of directors of the Florida chapter of the National Golf Course Owners Association.

NGCOA is the association for business of golf course owners and managers. The association represents the key decision makers with ultimate responsibility for golf courses throughout the world and helps golf course owners and operators run more successful businesses through advocacy, information resources and networking opportunities.

Garon leads New Leaf’s team of strategic planning, fiscal responsibility, membership programming, golf and clubhouse operations, and facilities management and human resources professionals. The company manages the clubs and amenities in Bonita Bay Group’s portfolio of master-planned communities and offers management services to a limited number of amenity operations outside the Bonita Bay Group family. Amenities currently under management include 11 world-class clubs, 14 championship golf courses, three beach clubs, five spas and fitness centers, four kayak and canoe parks, two marinas, 10 restaurants and six homeowners associations. 

Garon has more than 20 years of experience in the club and resort industry and most recently served as vice president of golf and club operations for KSL Recreation, where he was responsible for five resorts including La Quinta Resort & Club, PGA WEST, La Costa Resort & Spa, Doral Resort & Spa and Lake Lanier Islands.
