New company will facilitate acquisition and sale of golf courses and developments

Golf Course Advisors' services will be available to prospective buyers and sellers of golf course facilities.

Art West, with more than 25 years of experience in the golf industry announced the launch of Golf Course Advisors. West, who was most recently the President of the Golf Course Sales Division for Coldwell Banker Commercial, will specialize in the acquisition and sell of golf courses for selected clients.

According to West, this new golf course marketing company will allow him to work with brokers outside the Coldwell Banker Commercial network to locate and market a wider array of golf properties and utilize relationships with a number of associates to service clients in their purchase or sell of a golf course facility and/or golf course development property. Services offered will include marketing research, due diligence, financing and golf course management.

Other assignments included Director of Broadcast and Communications and Director of Promotions.

Art resigned from the TOUR in 1991 to form West Sports Marketing and serve as a sports consultant to over 20 Fortune 500 companies, eight golf equipment companies, golf tournaments, golf courses and the North Florida Section of the PGA of America. In addition to the above, Art brought several companies from concept to acquisition by NASDAQ listed companies.

In addition to his extensive background in golf, Art spent 15 years with IBM (1963-1979) in sales (Lexington, Kentucky), director of sales training (Detroit, Michigan), branch management (Youngstown, Ohio and Nashville, Tennessee) and marketing program development (Washington, D.C.).
