The New England Regional Turfgrass Foundation announced it will move the 2021 New England Regional Turfgrass Conference and Show to a virtual format.
NERTF had conducted an in-person event annually since 1996. The 2020 conference and show attracted more than 2,000 industry professionals to Providence, Rhode Island, in early March, a few weeks before COVID-19 shutdowns occurred across the United States.
The 2021 virtual event is scheduled for March 2-3. Clearance has been given to provide pesticide recertification credits in a virtual format.
Additional details about the event will be released this fall.
NERTF joins numerous industry organizations, including GCSAA, the Carolinas GCSA, Ohio Turfgrass Foundation and Tennessee Turfgrass Association, in recently announcing the switch from in-person to virtual educational events.
