GCI's summer field day tour continued Aug. 10 with a stop in Raleigh, N.C., for a massive research showcase: the NC State Turfgrass Field Day. More than 800 industry professionals attended the annual event at the Lake Wheeler Turfgrass Research Lab. NC State's Dr. Rick Brandenburg, Dr. Jim Kerns, Dr. Fred Yelverton, Dr. Grady Miller, Dr. Rob Richardson and Lee Butler were among the presenters, and topics ranged from using drones and remote sensing technology in developing BMPs to fraise mowing on Bermudagrass.
