Landscapes Golf Management received multi-year extensions to continue involvement at The Short Course at Mountain Shadows Resort in Paradise Valley, Arizona, and Bull Valley Golf Club in Woodstock, Illinois.

The Short Course has worked with LGM since 2016, during which green fees, rounds played, and net operating income have all steadily increased. The company also oversaw the course grow-in and build-out of the course maintenance facilities, and assisted with the equipment financing package.

The 18-hole Par 3 course is a key part of Mountain Shadows Resort. Designed in 1961 by Arthur Snyder, it was redesigned by his mentee, Forrest Richardson, and pays homage to the original layout with challenging greens and rugged slopes across distinct holes.

“Landscapes Golf Management is professional and proactive in every facet of its maintenance of our golf course,” Mountain Shadows Resort VP and GM Andrew Chippindall said. “Pristine conditions of the course and surrounding hotel and condo property have helped lead Mountain Shadows Resort to earn many accolades; we wouldn’t have this level of success without the company’s expertise.”

Since assuming its full operation of the private Bull Valley Golf Club in 2018, LGM developed a long-range strategic plan for club ownership, overhauled agronomic practices, expanded membership offerings, and instituted a dues-reset program. In the process, it also initiated CRM usage, which contributed to high watermarks for membership, rounds, revenue and EBITDA.

Built on a reclaimed dairy farm in Chicago’s northwest suburbs, Bull Valley is filled with rocky, highland fen meadow and low wetlands across its 7,325 yards.

“We are incredibly pleased with Landscapes Golf Management as it treats our business performance extremely seriously,” Rabine Group CEO and Bull Valley owner Gary Rabine said. “Members and guests feel a huge sense of belonging and a high level of comfort time and time again no matter the activity in which they participate.”

LGM president Tom Everett added that, “Our industry-leading team of experts works tirelessly on behalf of clients to achieve their objectives. Extending relationships at these two properties evidence we are hitting the marks as our on-site teams succeed through comprehensive training programs and in positive and rewarding, culture-first environments.”
