Mo. course has a clammed-up irrigation system

An invasive clam species has invaded sprinklers at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield.

Leaky irrigation heads led to an interesting discover at Springfield, Mo.’s Rivercut Golf Course: A tiny invasive clam, originally from Asia, found its way into the irrigation system, according to the News-Leader.

The maintenance staff contacted mollusk expert Steve McMurrary to help them solve the problem.
