“Clear vision, creativity and the building of strong partnerships throughout the industry have been the hallmark of TCNC’s success over the last 14 years,” Baker says. “The ability of Maples and Richardson to recognize opportunities and develop them into dynamic and exciting member services, programs and publications has been remarkable. Their professional association management services have been exemplary.”
The TCNC board of directors has elected to move the association headquarters office to Raleigh, N.C., in coordination with the staffing change. The move will also conclude Richardson’s 16 years of service. A search for new executive staff is now under way. An announcement of the new TCNC office location and staff is expected by mid-January.
Founded in 1974, the Turfgrass Council of North Carolina is the trade association representing every sector of North Carolina’s turfgrass industry including golf, sod production, lawn care, landscape maintenance and sports turf.
