Honours Golf has been selected by WCI Communities, one of Florida’s premier development companies, to provide management services for the golf club and marina at Lost Key, a WCI Community located in Perdido Key, Fla.
“Lost Key is a beautiful golf facility and is a great addition to our portfolio of clubs along the Gulf Coast,” said Bob Barrett, chief executive officer of Honours Golf. “With four other courses in the area, we are already familiar with the market and we are eager to contribute to the club’s overall success.”
Lost Key is situated along the western part of the Florida Panhandle on Perdido Key, a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico, located between Pensacola, Fla. and Gulf Shores, Ala. It features a visually stunning, 18-hole championship golf course carved thru 150 acres of natural vegetation, wetlands and dense wooded terrain. Aspiring to preserve and protect the natural habitat, Lost Key became the first golf course in the world certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. This environmentally sensitive golf course was originally built in 1997 and later redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 2006. As with many Palmer designs, the course presents numerous reward/risk opportunities and provides a strategic golfing experience. Narrow manicured fairways, an array of water hazards, multiple forced carries and contoured greens are just a few features of this picturesque semi-private golf course.
