Brian Little, Ph.D., will kick off the 2010 Golf Industry Show in San Diego with psychological insights about how to deal with people and their differences.
Little will provide his presentation, "Multiple Personalities in the World of Golf: Strange Creatures and True Characters," at the Feb. 10 Golf Industry Show General Session from 8-9 a.m., before the trade show floor opens.
A distinguished research professor at Carleton College and lecturer in the department of psychology at Harvard University, Little shares how human flourishing depends on the sustainable pursuit of personal projects. These personal projects can be tedious or easy, deeply private or joyously communal. They may be the route through which we inadvertently discover happiness, and they can also be the vehicle for our own self destruction.
Little has been described as a cross between Robin Williams and Einstein – to which he responds that the only similarity between the three is their height. Exciting new psychological insights are merged with motivating messages that provide audiences with very practical examples and an understanding of what they mean in the current business environment.
