Sipcam Agro USA announced the launch of Linchpin, a patented herbicide engineered to control difficult weeds such as kyllinga, sedges and crabgrass in golf, sports and lawn turf, and sod production management. Linchpin herbicide is a fit for the northern United States and Transition Zones where cool-season and Bermudagrass exist on the same property.
Sipcam’s patented formula greatly reduces or eliminates the risk of bleached turf from mesotrione. Linchpin offers weed control with selectivity and flexibility on Bermudagrass, ryegrass, fescue and Kentucky bluegrass. Formulated as an extruded dry granule, Linchpin combines mesotrione, halosulfuron and quinclorac to provide broad-spectrum control of more than 40 weed species.
“Golf course superintendents need solutions that work across mixed turf environments and seasonal transitions,” Sipcam Agro USA CEO/COO Brent Marek said. “Linchpin delivers consistent, long-lasting control while preserving the visual integrity and playability of the course.”
Linchpin will be available in early 2026 through authorized Sipcam Agro USA distributors.
