The development of Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J., is scheduled to be completed next July. Course construction is expected to be completed this fall.
The club, which was conceptualized with the goal of attracting major events such as the U.S. Open, PGA Championship and Ryder Cup, is a $129-million investment by Willowbend Development in partnership with The Applied Cos. Heritage Links and Southworth Golf Construction are building the 18-hole championship course (7,400 yards, par 70), which was designed by Bob Cupp and Tom Kite designed.
Golf Course News recently toured the course and took some photos.
