Jersey City, N.J. – Liberty National Golf Club appointed Aurelian Anghelusiu vice president and managing director. Prior to joining LNGC, Anghelusiu was the general manager and chief operating officer of Willowbend Country Club on Cape Cod, Mass.

Scheduled to open July 4 2006, Liberty National Golf Club will be the most expensive golf course ever built at a price tag of more than $129 million. The ultra-exclusive course represents a major investment by Willowbend Development LLC in partnership with The Applied Companies.
LNGC sits on the western shore of New York Bay in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan skyline.
This 18-hole Championship golf course (7,400 yards, par 70) was designed by former U.S. Open Champion Tom Kite and designer Bob Cupp, who collaborated on the project.
