LESCO sponsors pro golfer

Cleveland, Ohio – LESCO has reached a sponsorship agreement with Steve Voinovich, an up-and-coming professional golfer currently playing on the National Golf Association Hooters Tour.

“This sponsorship is a unique way for LESCO to support the general golf industry,” says Michael P. DiMino, LESCO’s president and chief executive officer. “LESCO has been the No. 1 product supplier to golf courses across the country for many years, so we are obviously very committed to the industry’s growth. Professional golfers bring tremendous visibility to the game, so we are excited to support Steve this year.”

As part of the sponsorship, Voinovich will wear shirts and hats featuring the LESCO logo in addition to using a golf bag featuring the LESCO logo. Also, Voinovich will visit with the golf course superintendents at each course he plays at this year on behalf of LESCO.

“I have spent literally thousands of hours on golf courses all over the country, so I have been familiar with the LESCO name and what it represents for years in terms of quality and professionalism,” says Voinovich. “To be formally associated with LESCO and to wear the company’s logo is a tremendous honor.”

Voinovich was the Ohio High School Golfer of the Year before being a four-time Division III All-American at John Carroll University. Voinovich has competed on a variety of professional golf tours in the last few years, including the Nationwide Tour, the NGA Hooters Tour and the Golden Bear Tour.
