IGM adds practice facility near Reflection Bay

At long last, Reflection Bay Golf Club is even more than a public resort course in the bustling Las Vegas golf market.

Long acclaimed for its Jack Nicklaus Signature Design, the 21-year-old club recently added a nearby practice facility on a shuttered course with the help of its maintenance contractor, International Golf Maintenance. The new practice facility was designed to renovate four remaining holes from the former course — The Falls — to create a driving range, practice holes, greens and bunkers.

IGM worked with Reflection Bay superintendent Ryan Howell to level the slopes, install a new irrigation system — including trenching, pipes and sprinkler heads to adjust for the new topography — spread four inches of sand to spur grass growth, and plant Tifway 419 Bermudagrass on the practice tee.

Construction on the new Las Vegas Golf Academy wrapped up in April, just after one of the two busiest stretches of the year for courses in and around The Entertainment Capital of the World. IGM will continue to provide maintenance for both the academy and Reflection Bay.
