Irving, Texas -- Las Colinas Country Club recently reopened its 18-hole championship golf course after a $1.5 million renovation. The renovation included new bentgrass greens, white sand traps and improved cart paths.
Las Colinas Country Club was founded in 1963 by the Carpenter family. The family partnered with Joe Finger, the course architect, to design the prestigious country club nestled in the rolling hills of Las Colinas.
The founding members of the club included the "Who's Who" in the metroplex including Amon Carpenter, Jr., Trammell Crow, Clint Murchison, Jr., Bryon Nelson, John Stemmons, R. L. Thornton, Jr. and Bedford Wynn.
Other club amenities include indoor and outdoor tennis courts, fitness center, olympic size swimming pool and banquet facilities.
