On Veteran's Day 2017, Lake Chesdin Golf Club in Chesterfield, Va., sponsored an outing to raise funds for K9s for Warriors. The organization can fully fund a companion dog for a wounded warrior for about $20,000. The golfers, residents, and sponsors combined to raise over $35,000 for the cause. Local superintendents Chris Roberts, John Pennypacker, Mike Beals, and Dick Fisher entered a team in the event.
