Laguna Golf Phuket announced the appointment of Jhomer lito Q. Patalot Jr. as the new director of agronomy for the Thailand facility.
Patalot, known as Jhomar, has almost 25 years of experience in golf course management and maintenance across Asia. He started his career in the Philippines, rising to golf course superintendent at Manila Golf and Country Club, before expanding his international experience in Brunei and Thailand, where he led the agronomy teams at venues including Ayodhya Links, Royal Lakeside Golf Club, Amata Spring Country Club, and Sports Turf Solutions Ltd.
Holding a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s in agriculture specializing in agronomy, Patalot says he is committed to continuous improvement and sustainability in course conditioning. His leadership combines deep technical expertise with a passion for delivering exceptional playing surfaces.
