Golfers who visit any of the 20 Kentucky State Park courses will have an easier time getting information and making travel plans with the parks’ redesigned Web site.
“The new design allows golfers to get all of the information they need at one place,” said Parks Commissioner J.T. Miller. “We’ve added new information and made it more convenient to make overnight reservations for golfing trips and vacations.”
The new web site – part of an overall redesign for the state parks -- is easier to navigate and has more photographs of each golf course. There are improved course descriptions, scorecards, rates and fees, weather information and mileage charts showing the distance between parks for those planning a golfing vacation at several courses.
The site also allows golfers to make reservations for the Kentucky State Parks Tee’s and Zzz’s golf packages that include lodging, meals and course fees. Also highlighted is the Kentucky State Park Golf Trail Signature Series – seven courses that offer championship play among some of the most beautiful natural settings in the state.
The site also provides information about meeting facilities and park restaurants. For courses that are not located at resort parks, the site provides information about the nearest park with overnight lodge or cottage accommodations.
