Yorkville, Ill. – Ocean Atlantic, a private real estate development firm based in Washington, selected KemperSports as project developer and construction and operations manager of Westbury Country Club. The 18-hole course will headline a collection of amenities and recreation within Westbury Village, a master-planned residential and golf community.

According to Ocean Atlantic, the golf course will be surrounded by a village center along with five residential villages comprising about 4,000 units. Recreational amenities, including multiple community clubhouses, indoor and outdoor pools, formal and informal dining, a fitness center, spa and wellness center, tennis club and various children’s facilities, will be spread throughout the large-scale private community.
KemperSports will orchestrate planning and development of Westbury Country Club, working closely with golf course architecture firm Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates. Upon completion, the championship layout will render a distinctive on-course experience that complements not only the site but also the surrounding community.
“Our approach is to craft a collection of holes that is varied in character and intrigue but balanced on the whole, with multiple sets of tees to accommodate a range of skill levels,” says Drew Rogers, senior design partner. “We’ll take advantage of Westbury’s signature quarry area to create dramatic elevation changes.”
Construction of Westbury Country Club is scheduled to commence this summer, with a planned opening in 2008.
