The Board of Directors at Caparra Country Club, a Puerto Rico non-profit corporation, hired KemperSports to operate the exclusive membership club located in the upscale San Patricio area of Guaynabo, just 11 miles inland from San Juan.
Built in 1944, the sport and social club provides its members, many of whom are third generation, with amenities including a baseball park, multiple tennis and basketball courts, and Olympic-grade as well as recreational swimming pools. The Club’s banquet hall, which has been home to a number of Puerto Rico’s most prestigious events, includes a restaurant, bar, and multiple meeting rooms.
KemperSports, which also manages Dorado Beach Resort and Club in Puerto Rico, was selected to manage Caparra Country Club based on their experience in managing high-end private facilities as well as for their presence and success in the Puerto Rico market. The golf facilities at Dorado Beach consist of four championship courses, including the fabled Dorado East, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., which has served as the site of a number of professional and amateur events over the last four decades.
“The Board of Directors trusts that KemperSports is the right partner to take Caparra Country Club in to the future,” said President of the Board, Joey Short. “Their expertise in private club management will be a huge asset for the club as we look to provide the best experience possible for our members.”
Caparra Country Club has more than 1200 members and is considered the premier sport and social club in Puerto Rico, offering three dining options including the elegant El Comedor de Caparra restaurant.
“Caparra Country Club has a long history of exceptional service and amenities resulting in a high level of loyalty from its longstanding members,” said Steve Skinner, CEO of KemperSports. “We look forward to continuing and improving upon that tradition and offering new and enhanced benefits in the years to come.”
