KemperSports names vice president of marketing

Genevieve Burke brings a well-established marketing career to her new assignment.

 Northbrook, Ill.-based KemperSports announced the appointment of Genevieve Burke as vice president of marketing. In this role, Burke will be responsible for the marketing direction and strategies at KemperSports’ golf properties as well as the development and implementation of the company’s corporate marketing strategy. 
 
Burke brings more than 16 years of marketing experience in consumer packaged goods and retail industries. After earning a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, she launched her marketing career at Sara Lee Corporation, serving in senior marketing positions for seven years at the multi-billion dollar conglomerate.

Following Sara Lee, Burke joined the management team of Ace Hardware’s on-line retailer partner as director of on-line marketing then was later promoted to vice president of marketing. Most recently, she served as director of innovation marketing for Chicago-headquartered Merisant Worldwide Inc., a global corporation that manufactures and markets a variety of sweetener and consumer food products, including Equal, with sales in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Burke, a Chicago-area native and an avid golfer and sports enthusiast, will be based at KemperSports’ corporate office in Northbrook.
