KemperSports has taken over management of Adams Pointe Golf Club.

Adams Pointe Golf Club is located 20 minutes east of downtown Kansas City. Designed by architect Don Sechrest, the eight-year-old championship layout plays to a par 72 and stretches 6,938 yards from the tips. The surrounding landscape features protected wetland areas, stone-lined ponds and native prairie grasses, complete with a creek which runs through all nine holes on the front side and dramatic elevation changes throughout the back nine. Four sets of tees allow for maximum playability.

“Adams Pointe Golf Club opened eight years ago as one of the best facilities in eastern Jackson County, and we look forward to the improvements that KemperSports will bring,” says Blue Springs parks and recreation director Roscoe Righter. “We are very pleased to work with this highly regarded company and its staff to provide the level of service that our customers expect and deserve in the coming years.”

Eight-year old Adams Pointe, a 20-minute drive from Kansas City, measures 6,938 yards from the tips.

The facility’s 5,250-square-foot clubhouse serves as home to a pro shop, banquet facilities and casual dining. Adams Pointe also offers an extensive practice area and a lighted driving range. Both the golf course and clubhouse, located next to a hotel and conference center, are completely accessible to the public.

In February of 2004, the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System designated Adams Pointe as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary for maintaining a high degree of environmental stewardship and excellence.

Adams Pointe marks the latest addition to an expanding portfolio of facilities throughout the Greater Kansas City area operated by KemperSports, including Falcon Ridge (Lenexa, Kan.), Hodge Park and Shoal Creek (both in Kansas City, Mo.). Most recently, KemperSports was named development consultant of Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan., and will assume management of facility operations upon its opening in 2006.
