KemperSports announced it has been selected to manage Lyman Orchards Golf Club, a 45-hole public facility in Middlefield, Connecticut.

“KemperSports is the right partner to elevate the golf and hospitality experience at Lyman Orchards Golf Club,” owner John Lyman III said. “Their commitment to outstanding customer service and their passion for golf will ensure the club is on a bright path going forward.”

Located just 22 miles south of Hartford, Connecticut, Lyman Orchards offers a pair of 18-hole championship layouts designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and Gary Player – the courses are aptly named the Jones Course and Player Course – along with a 9-hole Apple Course designed by Mark Mungeam. The Apple Course opened in 2012.

Opened in 1969, the Jones Course at Lyman Orchards Golf Club features classic golf course architecture that includes several risk/rewards opportunities throughout the course with strategic bunkering, subtle elevation changes, and expansive green complexes that fit seamlessly with the natural surrounds.

The Player Course opened in 1995 and was designed by Player. The course rambles through the apple orchards with large elevation changes and small greens.

“Lyman Orchards Golf Club is widely considered one of the best public golf facilities in Connecticut,” KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner said. “We look forward to working with ownership and our new Lyman Orchards team members to elevate the golf experience through improved golf course conditions and enhanced programming.”
