KemperSports hires Chambers Bay sales and marketing director

Jamie Fay joins the course staff, which opened in June 2007 outside Tacoma, Wash.

Jamie Fay will join Chambers Bay, the nationally acclaimed links-style golf course awarded the 2010 U.S. Amateur and 2015 U.S. Open Championships, as sales and marketing director. In this role, Fay will be responsible for steering sales and marketing initiatives and programs for the course that opened in June 2007 just outside of Tacoma in University Place, Wash.

Fay, a graduate of Tacoma’s University of Puget Sound, brings nearly six years of experience in coordinating and executing golf and tournament outings. Prior to Chambers Bay, Fay served as marketing and special events manager at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore., also managed by KemperSports. During his term at the Pacific Northwest destination, he played an integral role in numerous premier events, including the 2006 Curtis Cup Match and 2007 U.S. Mid-Amateur, a pair of USGA championships.

“We’re excited to have Jamie on board,” said KemperSports’ Matt Allen, general manager of Chambers Bay. “His marketing and events experience, particularly at a resort the caliber of Bandon Dunes, will be key as we prepare for the upcoming USGA championships at Chambers Bay.
