KemperSports has promoted Jeremy Goldblatt to chief operating officer and hired Steve Goris as its new senior vice president of KemperSports Venues.

Goldblatt was hired in early 2021 as the executive vice president of managed and leased services. He will continue to oversee the golf and hospitality operations at more than 130 golf courses, venues and resorts in 27 states. In his new role, he will also manage KemperSports’ regional operations, purchasing, and new business development teams while leading the company’s strategy to grow its KemperClubs, KemperDestinations and KemperSports Venues business segments.

“Jeremy has driven exceptional results for KemperSports and our clients since his arrival,” CEO Steve Skinner said. “Jeremy not only brings a unique background of proven success and strong commitment to client service, but also has a passion for investing in people — something we place a high value on at KemperSports.”

Over the past 18 months, KemperSports has signed 20 new contracts and its portfolio has expanded to include five new states. Goldblatt has also helped implement a robust, enterprise-wide training and development program.

Prior to KemperSports, Goldblatt was COO of Professional Sports Catering at Levy, a hospitality company providing food and beverage to major sports and entertainment venues. In that role, he led the team in managing the outsourced food and beverage service at 32 spring training and minor league baseball stadiums around the country, which included oversight of more than 4,000 staffers.

Goldblatt graduated from Brown University and received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.

As KemperSports Venues SVP, Goris will oversee the strategy, growth and operations for the company’s new business unit dedicated to serving and supporting its expanding portfolio of youth sports and recreation facilities.

“Steve is a proven leader and savvy industry veteran who will provide strong leadership of our sports facility development and operations,” Skinner said. “From co-founding and running the largest indoor sports complex in North America to developing some of the country’s newest sports and entertainment venues, Steve’s experience will be a valuable differentiator as we build KemperSports Venues as an industry leader.”

Most recently, Goris served as senior vice president of Vieste, LLC, leading the development of several sports and entertainment projects, including the soon-to-open Memphis Sports and Events Center. Prior to that, he served as vice president of planning and development for Sports Facility Management (SFM) after co-founding and working as chief operating officer of Spooky Nook Sports (Lancaster, Pa.), the largest indoor sports complex in North America.

Goris earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration in finance and accounting from the University of Toledo, where he also played on the men’s volleyball team.
