The Hurdzan/Fry USA chapter of Keepers of the Green held its 5th Annual spring event at The Golf Club of Dublin on June 20. As in past years, the primary function of the event, besides golf in the tradition of Old Tom Morris of Prestwick and St. Andrews, Scotland, is to raise money for powered wheelchairs for the needy.

This year’s tournament was sponsored by the Golf Club of Dublin, the organization's home course, and several local company sponsors. The event raised more than $2,000, which goes into our wheelchair fund and will be used to buy a powered chair for a worthy candidate this fall. And as in years past, each team played a 4-person scramble with hickory shafted clubs provided by Mike Hurdzan.
The winning team again this year was sponsored by the Toro Company, Century Equipment and Joe Enciso with a score of 6 under par 66. In the Keepers event, Michael Hurdzan won by several points over the second place finisher, his son Chris.
