Cary, N.C. – As the creator of the market segment, John Deere has a decade-long tradition of excellence in utility vehicles. It’s only appropriate, then, that the company has dubbed the newest addition to its Gator™ utility vehicle lineup the Traditional, or T-Series, Gator.
The four new models include the Gator TS, Gator TX, Gator TX Turf and Gator TH 6x4. The Gator TX Turf, with its quiet foot-pedal operation, turf-friendly tires and increased comfort, specifically meets the ever-expanding needs of golf course superintendents and turf care professionals.
“The Gator T-Series builds on John Deere’s tradition of quality, excellence and durability,” says Aaron Wetzel, group product marketing manager, utility vehicles. “And, with last year’s introduction of the new Compact Series, UATVs and High-Performance Series, we now offer the most comprehensive vehicle lineup in the marketplace.”
As with all the new models, the Gator TX Turf is more powerful than the previous generation of Gators, while also offering improved braking capabilities, increased payload and enhanced operator comfort.
The Gator TX Turf is equipped with the new 13-hp/401 cc Kawasaki FJ400 engine, all-wheel suspension and all-wheel hydraulic disc brakes. The pedal-start design allows for the convenient start and stop operation typical with golf course and turf care usage.
The Gator TX Turf offers decreased noise levels through: an engine and exhaust system that is isolated from the frame and chassis; a large-volume muffler; and a ground speed governor and starter generator. The ground speed governor also provides improved performance and the ability to operate at full speed with reduced engine rpm.
The all-wheel suspension and a three-inch-longer wheelbase enhance ride quality as well as operator comfort. And, for increased productivity, the Gator TX Turf boasts a 44-inch-long cargo box with a 600-lb capacity and an overall 1,000-lb payload/towing capacity.
