John Deere expands; changes name

John Deere Golf can be accessed through multiple channels.

In order to more aptly reflect its expanded offerings and multiple distribution points, John Deere Golf & Turf One Source is now John Deere Golf.

“Though we’re changing our name, we continue to offer a full range of solutions for golf customers, says Matt Armbrister, marketing manager, John Deere Golf. "The main difference is now customers find us through more channels.”

Since its merger with LESCO in 2007, John Deere Golf has expanded its capabilities by providing more individualized ground support and expertise to its customers in multiple areas, including agronomic and consumable products, irrigation systems and equipment for golf course construction, renovation, and as always, mowing and maintenance.

John Deere Golf now offers products and customer support through distributors, Stores on Wheels, golf sales representatives and John Deere Landscapes stores. John Deere Golf distributors provide equipment and irrigation products and support, while agronomic product expertise is found through the other three distribution channels. These professionals work together as a team to help each John Deere Golf customer create and maintain an efficient, highly playable course.

“Simply put, there are more products and more people available in more places,” Armbrister says. “Our customers now have full access to teams of specialists who understand the golf business, the requirements of a golf course superintendent and the specialized needs of each individual course. In addition, they can rely on products and personnel backed by John Deere – a company rich in heritage that has been rolling up its sleeves to help customers for 170 years.”
