CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte, N.C. plant of Jacobsen, a Textron company, recently exceeded one million hours of operation without a lost-time accident. In recognition of this accomplishment, Jacobsen was awarded the Textron Award of Merit for the second time.
“We are extremely proud of this accomplishment,” said Jacobsen’s president and c.e.o., Jon Carlson. “Manufacturing high-speed turf cutting aeration equipment, and accessories parts can be very dangerous. The Textron Award of Merit recognizes that our employees are dedicated to their co-workers and their own safety.”
The 2003 Textron Award of Merit recognizes employee’s commitment to personal safety, commitment to company policies and procedures and systems. A dedication to all of these factors is what led to Jacobsen’s accomplishment.
