Industry veteran opens communications firm

Kathy Conard, formerly of Aquatrols, starts a new public and government relations communication firm for the green industry.

The green industry knows the importance of proactive practices, effective communication and the need to influence policy makers. Feedback from associations across the country suggests that more action is needed at the local level.

Kathy Conard, a 22-year industry veteran launced Kathy Conard Communications, offering services that are tailored to specific geographical areas as well as those that meet individual chapter needs.

Conard says the start of KCC was actually a selfish endeavor. “I love the golf industry, enjoy working with superintendents, and wanted to be a part of sustaining golf’s future.” She wants to spend more time helping superintendents, owners and managers positively influence members, the surrounding community and local government decision makers.

In addition to chapter services, KCC is offering corporate services that include public relations, marketing and sales strategies with recommended approaches that are customer-centric and results driven.

“Kathy’s passion and knowledge of the industry, her relationships and networking skills make her qualified and well equipped to deliver on the promises of KCC. We will miss Kathy but are glad she is staying in the industry,” said Andy Moore, director of marketing and one of the owners of Aquatrols.
