Incline Village golf pro receives Golf Operations certification

Angie Rodriguez, head golf professional at the Mountain Course, is now certified through PGA.

The Golf Courses at Incline Village (Nev.) now have two certified golf professionals and one certified superintendent on staff. Mountain Course head golf professional Angie Rodriguez recently became certified through the PGA Certified Professional Program in golf operations. Rodriguez is the third person to be certified at the Golf Courses at Incline Village. CJ Johnson, who is the championship course director of golf , received certification in general management through the PGA Certified Professional Program and Jeff Clothier is a certified golf course superintendent through the GCSAA.

The PGA Certified Professional Program was created to offer PGA members the opportunity to advance in their desired career path. The PGA Certified Professional Program was created in recognition of specific career paths where PGA members are employed. The program acknowledges six specific career paths that represent 99 percent of the membership.

Currently there are 21,268 PGA Professionals and only 414 Certified Professionals. Angie has been head golf professional at the Mountain Course since May 2005 and a member of the PGA of America since 1996. Angie is on the President’s Council on Growing the Game of Golf and has successfully spearheaded the Incline Village Golf in the Schools Program. The Golf Courses at Incline Village is proud to have Rodriguez as one of the few PGA Certified Professionals.
