Ill.'s Old Oak CC adds GPS

The Homer Glen, Ill.-based club recently added the ProStar GPS systems.

Old Oak Country Club in Homer Glen, Ill., now features the ProStar GPS system and plans to participate in ProLink Solution's national advertising opportunity.

A short 20-minute drive from Chicago, Old Oak Country Club was built in 1926 on a tract of land dominated by large oak and hickory trees. The recently renovated 18-hole golf course has been skillfully carved out of the natural environment, measuring 6,069 yards at its longest.

With ProLink's 10.4-inch high-resolution color screen, the cart-mounted units display graphics including distances to the pin and hazards, pro tips, pace-of-play timer and radial arc for cart-path-only holes. Golfers also will be able to order food and beverage items with a touch of a button on the ProLink screen.

Servicing many of the world's most famous courses, the GPS provider recently introduced its revolutionary 'ProLink Touch', a first cart-mounted "Touch" screen. The system features enhanced scoring functions that will automatically calculate "Nassau" and "Skins" results.
