The Club at SpurWing, located in Meridian, Idaho, a fast-growing suburb of Boise, has joined Concert Golf Partners’ portfolio of private clubs.
Located approximately 12 miles from Boise State University, and led by longtime owner and local real estate developer, the Sundance Company, The Club at SpurWing is the 38th club nationwide to choose the Concert family of clubs; the first in Idaho; and the third with a backdrop of the Rocky Mountains—joining both Hiwan Golf Club and The Ranch Country Club, both near Denver.
Designed by Myron Tucker, SpurWing is home to an 18-hole Championship Course that at 7,300 yards, is the longest private course in the region. The scenic course expands along an upland ridge that delivers spectacular views of both Idaho’s Front Range and the lowland river forest.
The course is contoured within 230 acres of lakes, meadows, and streams. SpurWing’s signature hole, No. 6, tees off from an elevated plateau down into the valley, with views of the snow-capped Boise Mountains.
The captivating landscape of SpurWing makes the surrounding golf club community a natural destination to call home. The town of Meridian is the fourth fastest-growing city in the United States, and the second-most populous city in Idaho, alongside Boise. A destination for young families and a hub for high-tech professionals, the population of Meridian has increased more than 55 percent over a 10-year span, according to U.S. Census data.
“What stands out about The Club at SpurWing is not only the spectacular views of the mountains, but also the incredible camaraderie of its passionate membership,” senior vice president Jordan Peace said. “SpurWing’s members have an inspiring love and affinity for their club that enables its social culture to represent the heart and soul of the Meridian community. As Concert Golf continues to strategically grow our portfolio, we will strive to partner with clubs that have memberships that emulate the spirit of The Club at SpurWing.”
The club also features a 9-hole, par-3 Challenge Course designed by former PGA Tour player Steve Pate, which can offer two sets of both pins and tees on each hole, designed to appeal to all skill levels.
“When Concert Golf Partners approached us about acquiring the Club at SpurWing, we had never considered selling the Club,” said co-owner, Chris Anderson, who leads Sundance Company real estate development in Idaho with his brother, Travis Anderson. “Once we got to know Concert Golf and how they invest heavily in their Clubs, we became convinced that they’re the right partner to take the Club at SpurWing to the next level, while protecting and elevating our community’s home values. I look forward to both continuing my membership at SpurWing and playing the impressive golf courses throughout the Concert portfolio.”
