IA Joins the Coalition for Affordable American Energy

The CAAE provides a united voice for businesses affected by rising energy costs.

The Irrigation Association, recognizing the need for urgent action regarding increased fuel costs, joined the Coalition for Affordable American Energy (CAAE).

“Rising fuels costs mean rising operating costs for irrigation equipment manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and end users,” says Deborah Hamlin, executive director of the IA. “This coalition is a great opportunity for the Irrigation Association to provide a strong voice for its members on energy issues.”

The goal of CAAE is to provide a united voice for businesses affected by rising energy and fuel prices. CAAE members will encourage Congress and the administration to act and take decisive, effective and immediate action to greatly increase the development of domestic energy resources in an environmentally sensitive manner. The National Association of Wholesalers will act as the executive secretariat of the CAAE.

CAAE will support the exploration and development of domestic oil and natural gas supplies while promoting conservation of current energy resources and continued funding and research into renewable and alternative energy sources. CAAE will continue to lobby lawmakers to adapt these policies until an energy policy that meets these goals is enacted.
