Mower manufacturer Hustler Turf Equipment is expanding its reach. The company is partnering with Japan-based engine manufacturer Shibaura to offer golf turf equipment in the U.S.
The company unveiled the products at the Golf Industry Show, Jan. 31- Feb. 2. The line includes a fairway mower, and two walk-behind greens mowers, all featuring compact Shibaura engine technology. The company says the products deliver quiet operation volume, streamlined engineering, easy access for maintenance, and quality of cut.
Rotary mowers are in production and should be available in April or May, says Chad Mullet, Hustler's strategy & export manager, adding reel mowers will be ready next fall.
"We will introduce new products steadily," he says.
In addition to new product technology, Hustler Turf will offer a warranty and customer service through its dealer network. The company’s current distribution network includes more than 1,200 U.S. dealers and more than 40 worldwide distributors. With the introduction of its new golf product line, that network is expected to grow significantly.
