Hunters Run Country Club announced the appointment of Joshua Levitre as its new director of agronomy.
Levitre brings more than 22 years of golf course management experience to the Florida course, with a track record of leading renovations, overseeing major capital projects and maintaining exceptional playing conditions.
Most recently, he served as director of agronomy at The Club at Quail Ridge in Boynton Beach, Florida, where he directed a $23 million course renovation. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Bay Colony Golf Club in Naples, Florida, where he led a full re-grassing and construction project and developed a new practice facility.
Earlier in his career, Levitre held superintendent roles at The Dunes Golf and Tennis Club on Sanibel Island and at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva. He began his agronomy career at Calusa Pines Golf Club in Naples.
“Joshua’s expertise in turf management, capital planning, and sustainable course improvements, combined with his collaborative leadership style, makes him an outstanding addition to the Hunters Run team,” COO and general manager Larry Savvides said. “We are confident his experience will elevate our courses and enhance the overall member experience.”
