Horseshoe Bay, Texas – Previously accessible only to members and guests of the Texas Hill Country's Horseshoe Bay Resort, the three nationally recognized championship golf courses and Whitewater Putting Course of Horseshoe Bay Resort are now also available to guests of the new Horseshoe Bay Resort Marriott Hotel. The 349-room resort hotel, which softly opened in October 2004, will celebrate its grand opening in May 2005.
Guests of Horseshoe Bay Resort Marriott Hotel will experience temporary membership privileges to Horseshoe Bay Resort on Lake LBJ. This enables them to enjoy full access to the resort's amenities: three championship Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed golf courses, Ram Rock, Slick Rock and Apple Rock; the 18-hole tropically landscaped and night-lit Whitewater Putting Course; tennis; golf and tennis pro shops; watercraft rentals; four outdoor resort-style pools; the full-service Horseshoe Bay Resort Bayside Fitness Club and Spa; Lakeside Yacht Club; whirlpools with Hill Country views; a private beach; and a private 6,000-foot airport runway.
Horseshoe Bay Resort is home to the largest golf complex personally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., the golf course architect who has either designed or redesigned 26 of Golf Digest's "Top 100 Courses" and whose hand has influenced the shape of 10 former US Open courses.
