Teams from Horry Georgetown Technical College finished first and second in the annual Student Turfbowl at the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association Conference and Trade Show in Myrtle Beach, S.C. A team from Central Piedmont Community College finished third.
Horry Georgetown’s win was its third in four years, a run broken only by Clemson University in 2014. A dozen teams competed this year with $700 going to the winning team, $300 to the runner-up and $200 for third. The Student Turfbowl is presented in partnership with Precision Laboratories.
