Horizon, Kilpatrick and Keeling partner with GolfLinx

Together, the agreements provide GolfLinx with significant representation in North America's hottest golfing regions.

GolfLinx International, a supplier of soil moisture monitoring packages, strengthened its distribution strategy in North America by signing exclusive agreements with several leading irrigation products suppliers.

President Steve Quindlen said GolfLinx -- AquaSpy's golf and sports turf division -- joined forces with The Kilpatrick Co. -- an irrigation products distributor with operations across Southern Florida, and the Caribbean Island Nations -- to market and sell the range of GolfLinx soil moisture packages.

This follows an earlier agreement with Horizon, a major distributor of irrigation products in 13 States across the Western U.S. Together, these two agreements provide GolfLinx with significant representation in North America's two hottest golfing regions.

GolfLinx has also signed master certified distribution agreements with The Keeling Company for the exclusive distribution of GolfLinx products through Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Northern Alabama; and Carolina Turf Partners for South Carolina. Like AquaSpy, Keeling has its heritage in agricultural markets but is now a major supplier to the golfing and sports turf market.

"Each distribution agreement is an important part of the GolfLinx strategy in our North America markets," Quindlen said. "Superintendents now recognize our 'multi-sensor' technology as an important tool in their daily task of keeping golf courses in first class shape at a time when water is in short supply.

"Our agreement with quality distributors such as The Kilpatrick Co., The Keeling Company, and Carolina Turf Partners is recognition that customers want the best value soil moisture sensors they can buy."

Dennis Wagner, vice president for The Kilpatrick Co.'s golf division added, "Being able to water to the correct depth with the correct amount of water, at the correct time is an advance in golf course management the likes of which we have not seen in decades. This tool eliminates 'guesswork' on irrigation and salinity management and confirms the decisions that Superintendents are making."

Quindlen said the agreement with Horizon was already bearing fruit in the Southwest golfing sector.

"We are incredibly pleased with the opportunities that are emerging after our recent partner agreement with Horizon," he said. "We will be making some significant announcements about these opportunities in coming weeks."
