Destin, Fla. – Ed Hodnett has joined Agronomic Systems Design as executive vice president of North American sales and marketing. Hodnett was previously vice president of business development for Advanced Aeration Systems and a consulting agronomist with Golfturf, a division of Golden Bear International, prior to that. He has a degree in agronomy/turf management from Texas A&M University.

“We are very excited to have Ed on our management team,” says ASD president Larry Turley. “He brings extensive experience in collaboration with golf course designers regarding turf and soil management and greens construction. He will be instrumental in our ongoing effort to introduce the value and benefits of porous ceramic technology to the high performance turfgrass industry.”

Hodnett started his career as a golf course superintendent attaining CGCS status in 1990 and managing courses in Arkansas, Texas, Hawaii and Nevada. As a consulting agronomist he has been involved in more than 100 golf course projects worldwide.

“I am really looking forward to working with ASD to help establish PermO2Pore as the premier soil amendment in the industry,” Hodnett says. “I’m very impressed with the product, but even more importantly, very impressed with the vision, organization and philosophy of the company.”
