Himmelsbach promoted by Glens Golf Group

In addition to serving as marketing director, Himmelsbach takes on new responsibilities as director of golf sales.

The Glens Golf Group, located along the Grand Strand of Myrtle Beach, S.C., has promoted Jason Himmelsbach to director of golf sales for The Village at the Glens.

As director of golf sales, Himmelsbach is responsible for booking golf-only and stay-and-play packages for the four award-winning Glens Golf courses. Himmelsbach also will continue in his current role as marketing director.

Himmelsbach grew up in a family that has been heavily involved in golf course ownership, management and marketing for three decades. Beginning in the family business at age 14, Himmelsbach has served in numerous capacities with The Glens Golf Group. Embracing an opportunity to learn about golf course design and construction from the ground up, he worked as a member of the construction team that built the award-winning Shaftesbury Glen course. He served as editor of On The Green Magazine, the Myrtle Beach area’s leading golf publication, and oversaw construction of The Glens Golf Group Web site and implementation of its Guest Desk System, the online reservation program for golf accommodations.
