Heritage Golf Group recently purchased Grande Dunes Members Club, a private club located within the Grande Dunes residential community in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and The Club at Savannah Quarters, its first club in Georgia.

Heritage has expanded its ownership portfolio from six private country clubs and high-end daily-fee golf courses in January 2020 to 25 today.

“The Grande Dunes Members Club is one of the top private clubs in Myrtle Beach and we are looking forward to working with the membership to provide an even greater experience,” Heritage CEO Mark Burnett said. “It is an exceptional asset in our portfolio.”

Grand Dunes was designed by PGA Hall of Fame inductee Nick Price and golf course architect Craig Schreiner, and renovated in 2019. The par-71 course offers a classical inland style and features wide, generous fairways and long greens.

The Club at Savannah Quarters is located within a residential community 12 miles west of downtown Savannah.

“This acquisition is in line with our strategy of owning and operating private clubs in residential communities in key locations and providing members with a vibrant club lifestyle,” Burnett said. “The Club at Savannah Quarters is in an excellent location with yearlong golf and superior amenities. It further expands our rapidly growing network of clubs, including four in nearby Hilton Head.”

The Club at Savannah Quarters’ 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course offers a rewarding playing experience with six sets of tees to accommodate skill levels from beginner to pro. The picturesque Championship course weaves through lagoons, natural areas, and groves of towering cypress and live oak trees, welcoming players into the peaceful Lowcountry setting. The signature 15th hole features a unique island green nestled among the natural wildlife in a peaceful lagoon.

Heritage’s 25 clubs and courses are located in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin.
