Hasentree improving putting surfaces

Toll Brothers, the developer of Hasentree in Wake Forest, N.C., has announced that the community’s prestigious Tom Fazio-designed golf course will be installing new Champion Bermudagrass on its putting greens this summer. The move is part of Toll Brothers’ continued commitment to providing world-class amenities to members. Hasentree joins a select group of esteemed courses across the state with the playing surfaces. 

“We are delighted to start this revamp process in order to provide the very best playing conditions for our members,” said Cris Carter, general manager of Hasentree. “Our goal is to continually provide our members with a luxurious country club experience and these Champion Bermuda greens will provide our members with a first-class putting surface year-round.”
 
Champion Bermuda is drought tolerant, leaves fewer ball marks on greens and provides consistent putting surfaces throughout the year for players. Champion Bermuda is conducive to North Carolina weather and thrives in the summer heat due to its high-wear tolerance. Champion Bermuda also features the no-till renovation process that allows for renovation of existing greens without reconstruction. 

Hasentree’s Tom Fazio signature 7,074-yard, par-71 golf course is one of the state’s highest ranked private golf courses and features a stunning layout that is both fun and challenging for golfers of all skill levels. The course offers wide fairways and the design team strategically placed 88 steep-faced bunkers in landing areas, tucking them around corners of doglegs and close to slick, sloping greens to test your skill levels.
