Forewinds Hospitality's managing director Ron Winarick announced Hartefeld National Golf Club, in Avondale, Pa., will become a private, members-only golf club on Nov. 1, 2006. A limited number of memberships are currently available.
"Making Hartefeld a private club has been the goal since the inception of the club," said Winarick. "This has been a long time coming and we are proud to be able to achieve this goal for our members."
The club, which has played host to numerous PGA events like the Exelon Golf Invitational and The Bell Atlantic Classic, will offer preview play until Oct. 31. While Hartefeld National is proud to take its place as one of the premier private clubs in the area, the Grille and Pub at Hartefeld will remain open seven days a week for everyone to enjoy.
"We welcome the public to continue to dine in our stone country manor Grille & Pub and enjoy the views of the golf course," said Jeff Andrews, Hartefeld National general manager. "We have recently made family-friendly changes, including making all dining areas smoke-free."
