Harrell’s increases presence in Virginia and West Virginia

Company adds Jim Wilson and Mark McCaughan to turf sales team.

Harrell’s strengthened its turf sales team with the recent addition of Jim Wilson and Mark McCaughan. With a combined 47 years of experience in the turfgrass industry, Wilson and McCaughan will be a valuable resource to Harrell’s customers in Virginia and West Virginia.

Wilson has contributed to the turfgrass industry in Virginia for 19 years. He has held positions as an assistant superintendent, superintendent, and territory sales manager for Herod Seeds and most recently for Residex. He is a member of the Virginia Golf Course Superintendents Association, Virginia Turfgrass Council and the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association.

“Jim is a great addition to the Southeast sales group. He brings exceptional knowledge, service and solutions to our Virginia customers”, said Campbell Cox, Harrell’s Southeast regional manager.

Since earning his turfgrass management degree from Virginia Tech, McCaughan’s experience has included positions as an assistant superintendent, superintendent and most recently territory sales manager for Residex. He brings 28 years of turfgrass knowledge and experience to Harrell’s customers in West Virginia, where he has resided during his career. McCaughan is also a member of the Virginia Golf Course Superintendents Association and Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association, and director on the Tidewater Turfgrass Association board.

“Mark brings a lot of energy to Harrell’s West Virginia customers,” Cox said.  “We’re excited to have both of these gentlemen on board here in the Virginia region of our Southeast team as this continues to be a very strategic geography for us.”
