In 2012, Harrell’s made a commitment to Grow a Better World by joining the fight against breast cancer. Through the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides event, friends, family, customers, and employees helped to raise over $30,000 in support of the Making Strides event and other American Cancer Society efforts.
This year, we are again encouraging our employees to participate in their local Making Strides walks. However, we feel this is just the beginning! We want to challenge you to do the same! By visiting www.makingstrideswalk.org , you can participate by simply donating to any team you wish. However, why stop there! You can start your own team or join a team and walk with thousands of fellow fund raisers as they walk through your local community. The walks are normally held on Saturday mornings during October. Each event normally has festivities, games, music, and lots of activities for kids!
We thank all those that participated last year and look forward to another great event that helps to Grow a Better World! As October nears, look for Harrell’s trucks decked out with pink ribbon magnets, pallets wrapped in pink and sales representatives and employees wearing pink on Fridays.
