Marriott Golf named Michael Cappiello head golf professional at Grande Vista Golf Club, which is part of the Faldo Golf Institute at Marriott’s Grande Vista Resort in Orlando, Fla.
In his new position, Cappiello is responsible for overseeing all golf shop operations, retail merchandising, outings, and tournament coordination. A member of the Marriott Golf team since 2002, Cappiello most recently served as Assistant Golf Professional at Grande Pines Golf Club in Orlando. Prior to coming to Grande Pines, Cappiello served as Assistant Golf Professional at The Frog Golf Club in Villa Rica, Ga.
Cappiello is a graduate of The Golf Academy of the South in Casselberry, Fla., and also served in the military for eight years. In addition, Cappiello is a Class A Member of the Professional Golfer’s Association of America.
