This marks the fourth consecutive year Camp Creek and Victoria Hills, in DeLand, have ranked among the top 15 in the Sunshine State.

Camp Creek and Victoria Hills -- golf properties developed by the St. Joe Company – are ranked among Florida’s best courses in Golfweek’s 2007 Best You Can Play, State-by-State rankings.

This distinction marks the fourth consecutive year Camp Creek and Victoria Hills, in DeLand, have ranked among the top 15 in the Sunshine State, solidifying their position among the elite layouts in America. Camp Creek landed at No. 14, Victoria Hills at No. 9 in the 2007 edition. The survey, which included more than 700 Florida courses, examined overall strength of routing, feature shaping, natural setting, greens, variety and memorability of holes, conditioning and maintenance, landscape management and other criteria.

“The rankings are a testament to St. Joe’s commitment to providing the highest quality golf courses and experiences,” says Will Hopkins, General Manager at Camp Creek. “Camp Creek is honored to be included, and highly ranked and regarded by Golfweek.”

Adds Victoria Hills Head Professional Matt Payne, “Victoria Hills is excited about the latest Golfweek ratings and to be considered one of the best courses in a state endowed with a preponderance of great golf.”

Both Camp Creek and Victoria Hills have been selected by the United States Golf Association and Florida State Golf Association to host U.S. Open Local Qualifiers in 2007. In selecting the courses, the USGA and FSGA cited their championship-caliber layouts, commitment to conditioning and ample practice facilities.
